Super Easy Deep Cleansing Treatment

I live in the windiest place on earth, also known as southeast San Joaquin County.  The wind picks up every bit of dust and dirt and drives it into every pore.  Add sweat on top of that (because I also live in the hottest place on earth) and my skin is grimey and yucky at the end of the day.

So my skin definitely needs some deep cleansing this time of year.  And this is the easiest, fastest, and best deep cleansing treatment you can make!

Super Easy Deep Cleansing Treatment
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
dime-sized amount of you're favorite facial cleanser

In the palm of your hand, mix your facial cleanser with the baking soda (you can add a bit of water, too, to get the right consistency).  Massage over your face and neck for 20-30 seconds.  Rinse well with warm water.

If you use bar soap for your face (I use my goat's milk soap) instead of a liquid cleanser, just emulsify the soap in your hands first to get a good lather going and then add in your baking soda.
See, it is easy!  And I think you'll like the way it makes your skin feel -- smooth and super clean.

This cleansing treatment is fairly strong, so it's not a good idea to use it every day.  Once or twice a week is good.

And if you have super sensitive skin, you might want to reduce the amount of baking soda you use.  Start with just a pinch for your first use, and if your skin feels OK you can slowly add a bit more next time.
