Make Your Own Frozen Pizzas

My kids, like all kids, love pizza.  My husband loves it too.  We make our own occasionally, down to the homemade pizza dough, and it's sooo good.  But it takes a lot of time.  Definitely not a quick meal.

So, more often than not, we'll stop by the store and pick up a few ready-to-bake.  It's certainly an easy dinner on those busy weeknights.  But, they can be kind of expensive and probably not super healthy either.

I was very excited when I found this recipe for DIY frozen pizza.  It's perfect!  The recipe makes four pizzas, but you could easily double it.  Plan to take at least an hour and a half, though, to get this done from start to finish.  It will take an hour for the dough to rise, but you can use this time to chop veggies and prep toppings.  The initial time put in up front makes up for it on those busy nights because you just pull them out of the freezer and they cook in less than 15 minutes.  So good!

I'm in the market for a big chest freezer (for preserving all those summer fruits and veggies) but I know I'm going to stock up on these pizzas too.
