Day 181: Pioneer Living

My kid's charter school took a trip to a local living history museum to find out what life was like in the 1800s. I volunteered, and was able to take a group of children around to each station.

It really did feel like we had stepped back in time, save for the bus ride to and from the park. It was great for the kids to see how hard the pioneers worked for just the necessities of live. It also showed them the importance of community.

As for me, it definitely made me appreciate the modern conveniences. But it also inspired me to get my clothesline put up! It's been sitting in the garage for a while.

All in all, it was fun to live like a pioneer so long as it was only for a day!
