Day 134: Waiting for Spring

It's been rain off and on for over a month. Everything is wet. I'm ready for warm weather and sunshine.

I try to be thankful for the rain, because I know it's good for the little trees we just planted. I haven't had to water the garden since goodness knows when, which is a good thing. Come the hot and hazy days of summer, I'll be desperately missing the rain. But right now... I just want it gone.

I miss my horse. I haven't ridden in weeks, probably since before the new year. Dust covers my saddle and I ache to be back in it again. I could always take her down the road, where we wouldn't have to slog through mud, but I feel guilty leaving the kids behind while Meadow and I trot down the road.

The forecast for tomorrow? More rain.
